Neuwerk Documentation

Operator-focused documentation for deploying, configuring, running, and integrating Neuwerk.

These docs are organized by operator workflow. If you are evaluating Neuwerk locally, start with the Vagrant demo. If you are onboarding for a production-style environment, start from the released cloud image path.

The primary runtime artifact is the Neuwerk appliance image. The Vagrant path is the fastest local loop. The cloud-image path is the baseline for first-time cloud onboarding before autoscaling rollout work.

If you want a local single-VM demo first, begin with Run The Vagrant Demo Box.

For production-style onboarding, use Launch Neuwerk From The Released Cloud Image. After the node is running, continue with Create Your First Policy to validate policy flow end-to-end.

Before ASG, VMSS, or MIG based rollouts, read Cloud Rollout Integration so lifecycle behavior and rollout boundaries are explicit.

The concepts pages describe the control-plane and dataplane split, policy behavior, DNS enforcement, TLS inspection, cluster replication, and observability. Those pages are where to go when you need to understand why the Neuwerk behaves a certain way before making a change.
